On December 16th, Go Hyun-jung was absent from the “Namib” press conference organized by Genie TV and ENA due to a sudden health decline.

Later on, the actress’ agency confirmed that she had been taken to the emergency room earlier in the day, raising concerns about the seriousness of her condition.

At the “Namib” press conference, director Kang Min-gu addressed the actress’ health, stating that she has been working extremely hard and has faced physical challenges as a result.

“Although she never left the set during filming, she sometimes showed signs of fatigue after wrapping up for the day”, he also said, adding, “We have two days of filming left. I believe Go Hyun-jung will see it through with her strong determination.”

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Go Hyun-jung fainted multiple times during filming, though the exact diagnosis remains undisclosed.

Additionally, Herald POP has learned that her condition is not severe enough to require prolonged rest. With the first broadcast of “Namib” just around the corner, Ko is expected to return to the set as soon as she recovers.

On the other hand, Go Hyun-jun previously opened up about her health struggles during an appearance on Jung Jae-hyung’s web variety show. At the time, the actress shared that her health had deteriorated to the point of collapsing and mentioned undergoing an extraordinary health examination process.

In particular, she explained, “I was much sicker than I thought, but I didn’t believe it. I assumed I was imagining things, so I didn’t visit the hospital. When I finally went for a health checkup, it was serious. I was in a condition where I couldn’t even undergo the full examination.”

When asked if the situation had been critical, she replied, “It was critical. Since the examination couldn’t proceed, two hospitals collaborated to complete the health check. After identifying the issues, I underwent treatment and thought I was okay, but I collapsed again while walking. I fell and asked a passerby, ‘Excuse me, I’m Go Hyun-jung. Please save me.'”

The revelation saddened many fans, who continue to express concern for her well-being. Attention is now focused on whether Go Hyun-jung will personally update fans about her recovery. Meanwhile, filming for “Namib” is expected to resume once she has recovered.
